These little mushroom shaped crackers dipped in chocolate are SO GOOD. I need to go back to Aldi tomorrow and buy them all before they’re gone!

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:

* 1 cup flour
* 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 3/4 cup raspberry jam, seedless

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 8-inch square pan, set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt with a wire whisk. Add rest of ingredients except jam. Stir until large crumbs form. Press 2 cups of mixture into prepared pan. Spread jam to 1/4 inch of pan sides. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over top. Lightly press crumbs into jam. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brown around edges. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Servings 16 to 25 depending on size of bars cut.

B got this picture for me last Sat. We went to JB’s dad’s house which is right near National Forest close to Helen. After walking around Helen and the weird biker crowd there, it was so nice to stomp around in the woods and see all the leaves changing.

This looks like it needs to be in a calendar or something, used as the November picture.

Not quite as …um…. exciting? as $240 worth of pudding, but I was happy about it!

We had so much fun today going to the Animal Safari in Pine Mountain!
I went with Steph and her kids. You go there, drive through and feed the animals. They stick their heads in the car windows and slobber. I’m putting up video soon on my youtube page. Steph’s pictures are cuter, she got a great one of a guy who got out of his car (you’re not supposed to do that!) and chased a baby piglet. The animals were all so great, funniest were the big ones like the guy in this picture, they were really pushy about the food. You had to put both hands on their necks and heads and SHOVE to get them out. Toward the end of the tour we just kept rolling when they came up to the car, and rolled up the windows and yelled ‘bye!!!!’ at them. The others that were cute were the pigs – the deer and goats and whatever would trot up looking for food, and you’d see them from waaaaaaay across the field, they’d look up and start running like a kid after an ice cream truck. Wait for me! Wait for me!
Anyway, I’m looking forward to more day trips like this one, maybe the GA Aquarium next?

B took the picture of clover, it’s really pretty right?  The funny thing about it is that she took it off the side of the road right by the Atlanta main Post Office – one tiny pan to either side would have shown garbage or maybe one of the guys begging for spare change.  But that tiny frame came out nice, I wish the pictures of the poppies there had turned out since they’re always prettiest.

I put a link to her flickr account, she got some great pictures at the Panic! at the Disco show.  Plus I wanted an excuse to write Panic!  I love the exclamation point in there.
